Course Description

The bundle contains both the McKinsey Case Interview Training Programme and the BCG & Bain Case Interview Training Programme. If you don’t know which firms you will be interviewing with, you should purchase it.

1. Brush up your maths

The first thing you should do is brush up on your math. Mental calculations are involved in every case interview. The calculations are not hard, but it is difficult to do them quickly and accurately. The training programme contains videos and exercises to refresh your memory on basic mental operations and teach you more advanced mathematics that are useful in consulting interviews.

2. Learn how to consistently crack the case

The second part of the programme is to teach you how to crack cases. Over the past few years we have analysed 100s of case interviews and come to the conclusion that they can be broken down into seven different types of questions.

The cornerstone of the programme is the IGotAnOffer Method which teaches you a step-by-step method to consistently crack each of these 7 types of questions. This method is very easy to use. You will learn how to use it in both interviewer-led and candidate-led cases.

3. Watch a best-in-class candidate solving cases

If you have learned the IGotAnOffer method, you can watch a best-in-class candidate apply the method and solve 12 live cases. The live case videos are structured so that you can hit pause and answer the interviewer’s question as if you were in a real interview.

Watching a best-in-class candidate will help you master the IGotAnOffer method and learn the small details that make a difference between candidates who get an offer at McKinsey, BCG and Bain, and those who don’t. We explain why the answer provided by the candidate is great and how you can replicate it in the live case.

4. Work on your weaknesses with detailed PDFs

You can quickly identify areas where you struggle more than others if you watch the best-in-class candidate. A lot of candidates who train with us struggle with framework and quantitative questions at first. We have created detailed PDFs of the key areas of the case so that you can train on these types of questions.

There are all the cases and questions from past interviews at McKinsey, BCG and Bain in this programme. You will be training with questions that are similar to the ones you will get in your interviews.

5. Impress your interviewer on Fit / PEI questions

At the beginning of your interviews, you will discuss an aspect of your CV with your interviewer. You will get some questions which are fairly generic such as Why consulting? or Why firm X?

The other questions are more difficult to answer. McKinsey and other firms use the Personal Experience Interviews (PEI) questions. To impress your interviewer, the programme includes a 1h training video. The main type of questions and how to answer them are covered. It’s a good way to set yourself apart.
