About the Instructor:

Jim Stice

Jim Stice is an accounting professor.

James D. Stice is a professor in the School of Accountancy atBYU. He teaches business and accounting to business people around the world. Professor Stice has been at the school for over twenty years. He has published many professional and academic articles. Professor Stice has been involved in executive education for a number of companies, including Bank of America Corporation, International Business Machines Corporation, and AngloGold LIMITED. His department, his college, and the university have all recognized him for his teaching excellence. Professor Stice served on the board of directors of a publicly traded company until it was taken private and he is currently on the audit committee of Deseret Management Corporation.

Professor Jim Stice received a PhD from the University of Washington, as well as master’s and bachelor’s degrees, all in accounting.

Stice is named Earl Kay.

Earl Kay Stice is a professor at the Marriott School of Management.

Earl is a full-time faculty member at Rice University, the University of Arizona, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is a lecturer at HKUST, SKOLKOVO, China Europe International Business School, the University of Illinois, and INSEAD. Professor Kay Stice received awards for high-quality teaching at Arizona, Rice, and Brigham Young University, and he was twice selected as one of the top ten lecturers at HKUST.

Professor Stice has trained executives in the United States, Hong Kong, China, Russia, Malaysia, and South Africa. He is an expert witness in tax disputes and compensation for losses.

Professor Stice obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting and his PhD from Cornell University.
